Brook Medical Centre is again, this year, asking for your help to raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer research.
Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, excluding non-melanoma skin cancer, and is the second leading cause of cancer-related death in women, following lung cancer.
It occurs when cells in the breast’s lobules or ducts grow abnormally and uncontrollably, with the potential to spread to other parts of the body. While breast cancer primarily affects women, it can also occur in men, though this is rare. Transgender women and non-binary individuals may also be at risk of developing breast cancer.
Join us for the BMC Breast Cancer Raffle, a heartfelt community event where every ticket supports a great cause. We’ve received generous prize donations from our amazing local businesses and community members, making this raffle extra special. From gift vouchers to unique handmade items, there’s something for everyone to win.
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.
The raffle will be draw on the 30th of October at 2pm.
To make the morning even better, we’ll be hosting a BBQ Breakfast on Wednesday 15th of October—so come down, enjoy a bite to eat, connect with others, and help raise funds for breast cancer awareness and support.
We are very lucky to have the Breast Screen Bus in town during October, if you haven’t already, book in for a mammogram.
