FAQ’s

Can we see a Doctor if we don’t have an appointment?

Whilst it is preferred that you have an appointment, a Doctor on call is available Monday to Fridays for patients who have urgent medical problems and do not have an appointment.

Unfortunately this may require waiting as the doctor is on call for all emergencies at both Brook Medical Centre and the Hospital.

Every effort will be made to reduce your waiting time. Patients will be assessed by the practice nurse and the most urgent cases will be seen first.

When are Child Immunisation Clinics held?

Brook Medical Centre holds Child Immunisation Clinics every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 11am and 12pm.

Please remember to bring your child's Blue Book and your Medicare Card.

If you cannot attend the clinic please make an appointment with your Doctor for a full baby check & immunisation.

Is Brook Medical Centre a Bulk Bill Practice

Brook Medical Centre is a private practice.

All Accounts must be paid for at the time of consultation. If you have difficulties paying your account, please talk to your Doctor.

Health Care Card Holders and Pension Card Holders will usually be Bulk Billed; however, there may be a charge for a consultation. Please let your Doctor know if you fall into these categories at the time of your consultation. It is also our current practise to bulk bill children up to 16 years of age.

Our Practice accepts MasterCard and Visa, and will accept cheques from existing patients. EFTPOS is available. We also offer HIC Online claiming, processed directly through Medicare where your refund is deposited directly into your bank account.
